A teenager has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a jogger who was repeatedly stabbed in a north London park.
The 39-year-old was attacked in Clissold Park on 5 December and was left bleeding heavily.
A 15-year-old boy, from Finsbury Park, north London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court on Saturday.
He was remanded in custody to reappear there on Tuesday at 1000 GMT.
The boy spoke only to confirm his name during the court appearance. His family was not present.
Police say the youth has no connection with the murder of another jogger, Margaret Muller, in nearby Victoria Park, Tower Hamlets, last February.
American artist Ms Muller, 27, was murdered while out jogging in Victoria Park on 3 February 2003, which is just three miles from Clissold Park.
The Clissold Park victim underwent surgery on a severed artery.
