A doctor who helped a jogger who was stabbed repeatedly in a north London park has told how she feared for the safety of herself and her two children.
The 39-year-old woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, was walking in Clissold Park, in Stoke Newington, at about 1700 GMT on 5 December.
She said she feared the attacker was still nearby. The 39-year-old victim is recovering "slowly".
Police have linked the attack to the murder of Margaret Muller in February.
The doctor issued a statement on Saturday through the Metropolitan Police describing how she had taken her two young children to feed the ducks in the park when the jogger came towards her.
"When she was about five metres away she said 'Help me I've been stabbed. Have you got a mobile phone? Call 999'.

I was fearful for the safety of my children and myself because I did not know if the attacker was still around

"The jogger then laid herself down in front of me. I immediately dialled 999 and requested an ambulance.
"I could see shadows around the area where the jogger had her hand and assumed this was blood. It was dark so I could not see properly.
"At this time I was fearful for the safety of my children and myself because I did not know if the attacker was still around.
"I asked the jogger to take her hand away from where she was holding and some blood spurted out. I got her to put her hand back on the wound and press hard. I put one of my own hands over hers to assist in applying more pressure.
"I had some muslin with one of the children that I used to put across the wound."
She added that a man walking a dog approached her a few minutes later and she asked him to stay until the ambulance arrived because of her concerns for her own safety.
'Hooded top and rucksack'
Police are examining about 1,000 hours of CCTV footage taken from cameras on buildings around the park.
The attacker is described as being in his late teens or early 20s, slim with "teenage facial hair" and angular features.
He wore a hooded top and had a rucksack .
Police say they believe the same man murdered American artist Margaret Muller, who was stabbed while jogging in Victoria Park in Tower Hamlets - less than two miles from Clissold Park.
