The water supply has been restored to thousands of homes and businesses across north London after a mains pipe burst at Brent Cross.
Thames Water made deliveries to residents
Thames Water said the taps were turned back on at about 0200 BST on Wednesday.
The company blamed the problems on the recent hot weather which caused pipes to fracture.
The water main burst on Tuesday morning, flooding the westbound section of the A41 at Brent Cross.
Shops around nearby Dollis Hill ran out of bottled water and residents had to make deliveries to elderly neighbours suffering from diabetes.
Traffic problems in the area were made worse by another burst water main on Edgware Road.
Thames Water has apologised to customers.
