Cleric supporter jailed for rape
Abdullah el-Faisal
Abdullah el-Faisal was jailed for nine years for preaching hate
An east London man who was a follower of the Muslim cleric Abdullah el-Faisal has been jailed for 12 years for raping and torturing teenage girls.

Richard Chinyoka, 27, from Walthamstow, was found guilty of two charges of rape, assault causing grievous bodily harm, affray and making threats.

The Old Bailey heard he carried out the attacks on the 17 and 19 year olds for nearly two years.

Chinyoka burnt the feet of one of the women with an iron after beating her so badly with a belt that the buckle broke.

The elder woman was beaten and raped and had salt poured onto her bleeding wounds.

Painted windows black

Old Bailey Judge Christopher Hardy said Chinyoka managed to get "under the psychological skin of the women".

The 27-year-old had charmed them and continued to have influence over them despite his violence.

Jonathon Davies, prosecuting, said Chinyoka forced the 19-year-old to become a Muslim and painted the windows of her flat black so she could not look at other men.

When Chinyoka was arrested in Dorset, tape recordings of el-Faisal's calls to followers to kill non-believers, Americans, Hindus and Jews, were found in his car.

This led to a police inquiry and el-Faisal was jailed for nine years for inciting murder.
