The mother of Jason Fearon, who was killed in a shooting outside a nightclub, has described as "crazy" the culture of violence that claimed his life.
The 26-year-old father-of-two was killed as he tried to flee Turnmills nightclub in Clerkenwell, central London on 21 April, after a group of men forced their way in and started shooting.
He was found yards from the club slumped in an Audi TT car along with another man, who survived being shot in the shoulder.
It is thought a second car pulled up alongside the Audi and shots were fired repeatedly, killing Mr Fearon.
Detectives believe his killing was a case of mistaken identity and that he was not the intended victim of the "callous execution".
Annette Fearon told BBC London: "I am waiting to wake up, I think I'm having a bad dream - it is horrible. I have never felt pain like this before."

She appealed to other young men caught up in gun and gang violence to think again, before they become the next victims.
"It is very sad, because there are going to be a lot of fatherless children," she said.
"You have made a life and you have got to be there for them, be a responsible person and stop this rubbish, this nonsense, it is crazy."
Police later admitted there had been a tip-off about plans for a gun attack at the club to the Crimestoppers hotline, but it had not been passed on to the right department.
The Metropolitan Police are now reviewing the way information is passed on.
Mrs Fearon repeated calls for people with information about her son's death to come forward.
"I beg them, please talk to the police if you saw anything, I don't care how small it is. Let the police know. Let them do their jobs properly."
