A man and a woman have escaped with minor injuries after a gang of youths threw petrol bombs at them as they tried to leave an east London pub.
The 51-year-old woman suffered burns to her legs and the man, also in his 50s, received burns to his hands in the attack at 0150 BST on Wednesday.
Police said the entrance to the Pride of Spitalfields pub, in Heneage Street, Spitalfields, also suffered extensive damage.
The pair had been leaving the pub when they were hit by one of a number of petrol bombs being thrown by the group.
They went back into the pub and escaped via a roof terrace.
The man and woman were taken to hospital where the 51-year-old remains although her injuries are not thought to be critical.
