Murder inquiry after Tube station attack
A man has died of his injuries after being attacked in the street outside a London Tube station.

Michael Austin, 34, from Highbury, north London was set upon at Farringdon station soon after midnight on Thursday.

Police believe he was attacked by at least two men and one may have been wielding an iron bar.

Mr Austin, who was recently married, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and died on Sunday.

Scotland Yard said they were looking for two white men, both believed to be in their 20s and scruffily dressed.

One is described as 5ft 7ins tall, dark haired with a centre parting.

The other is said to be between 5ft and 5ft 5ins tall with short cropped hair.

Police are appealing for any Tube passengers who were in the area at the time and who may have seen the attack or the men running off to come forward.
