Spate of fires treated as arson

A fire at an outbuilding in Lincolnshire and four separate straw fires are being treated as arson.

More than 2,500 bales of straw were destroyed in four fires in the Wrangle, New Bolingbroke and Brothertoft areas between 1920 and 2105 GMT on Sunday.

Fire crews were also called to an outbuilding fire at Pinfold Lane, Fishtoft, several hours later.

A spokeswoman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the incidents were being linked at this stage.

Fire crews and police are carrying out investigations at the scene of the fires.
