A disabled Lincolnshire man has said new rules make it so difficult to visit his wife's grave that he is considering having her body exhumed and moved.
Walter Bercken, 85, said he needed vehicle access to the cemetery in Horncastle - but the gates are being locked at certain times.
They are usually closed at the weekend and when the caretaker is away.
Horncastle Town Council said Mr Bercken could ring up in advance and book a visit to the cemetery.
Mr Bercken, who is originally from Germany, lost his wife Mary in 1999.
It takes him hour to drive from his home in the North Hykeham area to visit her grave in Hornscastle.
He said the access problem was very distressing.
"I'm very upset about it. Actually I was thinking of going to the doctor today to tell him all about it and see if I could get some tablets or something because it's affecting me, it's making me depressed."
