Thousands use new walk-in centre

A health service walk-in centre in Lincolnshire has dealt with more than 13,000 appointments since it opened six months ago, officials have revealed.

The centre in Monks Road deals with illnesses and medical inquiries from students, residents and office workers.

Along with doctors, the centre has a nurse practitioner, midwife and a stop smoking advisor.

Centre manager Michelle Webb said many patients used the centre at evenings and weekends.

Ms Webb said: "Our first six months have been a great success.

"We are often seeing patients visiting us more than once.

"Evenings and weekends are particularly busy, but we aim to see all visitors within 30 minutes."
