Road reopens after leak repaired

Days of disruption in Lincoln city centre have ended after a major water pipe repair was completed.

Water began to escape on to the High Street near the magistrates' court late on Sunday night.

Engineers from Anglian Water had repaired the leak itself within hours but the damage to the road meant the highway had to be closed.

However, after a hole was filled and the pavement replaced on Thursday afternoon diversions were lifted.
