Two rapists who absconded from an open prison in Lincolnshire have handed themselves in.

Jason Millard, 40, and Frank Dalton, 42, who are both serving life sentences, left HMP North Sea Camp open prison near Boston on Sunday.

A Lincolnshire Police spokeswoman said the pair had handed themselves in at Lincoln Prison on Tuesday evening.

People had been warned not to approach Millard, who is from the Milton Keynes area, or Dalton, from Redcar, Teesside.

A HM Inspectorate of Prisons report, released on Tuesday, had praised low abscond rates at the HMP North Sea Camp.

The report was based on an unannounced visit to the prison, which can house 318 adult and young adult male prisoners, in May.
