Two men serving life sentences for rape have absconded from prison in Lincolnshire.

Jason Millard, 40, and 42-year-old Frank Dalton were last seen at HMP North Sea Camp, an open prison near Boston, at 1830 GMT on Sunday.

Detectives said the pair might have hitched a lift from a passing driver before returning to their homes.

People are being warned not to approach the pair as they may pose a risk to the public.

Det Ch Insp Stuart Gibbon said: "These two men may be a risk to the public and, if anyone sees them, they should not be approached."

Millard, from the Milton Keynes area, is described as about 5ft 3in and of medium build, with grey hair and a full grey beard.

Dalton, from Redcar, Teesside, is described as 5ft 5in, with blue eyes and receding brown hair.
