Campaign to fight wind farm plan

A campaign group has been formed to fight plans for a wind farm in Lincolnshire.

There are plans to site 30 turbines on Heckington Fen near Sleaford.

The company behind the plans, Ecotricity, has said in the past wind turbines are the key to addressing climate change.

But Keith Dunkley, of Fenland Residents Against Wind Turbines (Frawt), said many people thought the development would be disruptive.

He said: "It's going to dwarf everything in the area and really blight the amenity of the enjoyment of the area.

"We all want to help the planet and I'm sure there are areas of the country much further removed from residents where this can happen.

"It is a proposal of course, but to have 30 of them so close, it's just going to be a bit too much."
