Man faces attempted murder charge

A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder over the stabbing of a 59-year-old woman in Lincolnshire.

Carol Couch, from Keadby, near Scunthorpe, was stabbed several times at the Brandy Wharf Farm caravan site in Waddingham on 6 July.

Paul Longdin, 26, of Westminster Walk, Corby, appeared at Lincoln Crown Court charged with attempted murder, robbery and theft.

He was remanded in custody and will reappear at the court on 16 October.
