Council reviews future of markets

Shoppers in a Lincolnshire district have been asked for their views on local markets as part of a review by council bosses.

East Lindsey District Council operates stall markets in Alford, Horncastle, Louth, Mablethorpe and Spilsby.

The council says it wants to know how they can be improved.

A spokeswoman said: "We are looking at what works and what doesn't with regard to markets as we explore ways of revitalising our markets towns."

She added: "We want to hear particularly from those people who don't currently use the markets and the reasons why they don't.

"The feedback will then be used by the council to shape the way we run our markets in the future."

Questionnaires will be available at markets being held this week and on the council's website.
