Tests after body found in river

River Witham
The area where the body was discovered has been cordoned off

A body, believed to be that of a man, has been found in the River Witham in Lincolnshire.

Police were called to the area close to the rowing club in Boston at about 1320 BST after a member of the public spotted an object in the water.

The area was cordoned off while the body, which is thought to have been in the water for some time, was removed.

A post-mortem examination was carried out and more tests are being conducted to establish a cause of death.
