The council says the hall costs taxpayers £35,000 a year to run

An independent assessor has been appointed to oversee attempts to save a Lincolnshire town hall.
Horncastle Town Hall could be demolished after East Lindsey District Council said it did not represent value for money to keep it open.
But a working group wants to come up with a viable business plan in order to take over the building.
The council has now appointed the assessor who will scrutinise the working group's strategy.
He is expected to make a recommendation to the authority later in the year.
The council said keeping the hall will cost £35,000 a year but campaigners have insisted it is a valuable asset and part of the town's history.
