Three assaulted by crowbar gang

Three men have been attacked and robbed in their Lincolnshire home by a gang of raiders wielding pickaxe handles, crowbars and spades.

Four or five men wearing ski masks or balaclavas went into a house on Tattershall Road in Boston at about 1815 GMT on Wednesday.

The three residents, one man aged 46 and two aged 48, suffered cuts and were taken to the Pilgrim Hospital.

The attackers fled the scene with a Bulgari watch and a mobile phone.

Det Sgt Paul O'Connor from Lincolnshire Police said: "Information we have at the moment is sketchy but this burglary was carried out at a time when people would be travelling from work or out dog-walking.

"We are appealing to anyone who was in the Tattershall Road area and saw any suspicious activity or vehicles to call us."
