Girl, 15, suffers serious burns

A 15-year-old girl is recovering after suffering serious burns in an assault in Lincolnshire.

Police were called to the Brandy Wharf area, between Lincoln and Scunthorpe, in the early hours of Sunday.

The 15-year-old girl, believed to be from Scunthorpe, was found with serious burns and taken to hospital.

Officers have started an investigation into the incident and a man, who has been arrested, is helping police with their inquiries.
