Free cameras to catch an offender

Police in a Lincolnshire town are handing out free cameras to help catch a man accused of indecent exposure.

Joggers and dog walkers in the Hubbards Hill area of Louth are being offered "advice packs" which include a panic alarm and a disposable camera.

The suspect exposed himself to a woman who was out running with her dogs.

But police believe the same man has triggered a series of reports of a figure "acting strangely" - although there have been no official complaints.

A police spokeswoman said: "The packs include a personal panic alarm to alert other people in the area and a disposable camera, which police hope can be used to take a photograph of the offender's face to assist with identification, should he strike again."

The offender is described as white, in his late 20s, tall, slim built with short dark hair and a pale complexion.

He was wearing blue jeans and a grey jacket when he indecently exposed himself to the 45-year-old woman.

Louth's Neighbourhood Policing Team has increased patrols in the area.

The advice packs, which also contain personal safety and crime prevention information, are available at Louth Police Station.
