Dummy bombs found in scrap pile

A building in Lincoln had to be evacuated after two suspected bombs were found.

Police were called to Sims Metal on George Street at 0750 BST on Tuesday after staff found the devices at the bottom of a pile of scrap metal.

Army bomb disposal experts dismantled one bomb and were able to confirm both devices did not contain explosives.

It is believed they were practice bombs from the late 70s or early 80s, used by the Army in training exercises.
