A man has admitted causing the death of his three-year-old stepdaughter in a mini-motorcycle crash in Lincolnshire.

George Franklin, 22, of Monks Dyke Road in Louth, faces jail after admitting causing death by dangerous driving.

Abbie Louise Perrin was riding on the petrol tank of the motorcycle Franklin was steering when it collided with a truck on 26 May.

She was taken to hospital in Grimsby following the accident, but later died as a result of her injuries.

Speaking at Lincoln Crown Court, Judge Michael Heath condemned Franklin's "crass stupidity" and warned him he faces jail.

Defence barrister, Catarina Sjolin, told the court that Franklin was "genuinely sorry" for the tragedy.

Mr Franklin has been remanded in custody until 15 August for sentencing.
