Campaigners have gathered in a Lincolnshire town to protest against a proposed power station.

Eco2 Biomass Limited wants to build the £80m straw-fired power station on the outskirts of Sleaford.

Protesters say it will have a negative affect on the area and have gathered at Sleaford's United Reformed Church to urge residents to fight the plans.

Eco2 Biomass Limited said the facility would create 80 jobs and produce low-emission power for 65,000 homes.

But opponents are concerned the station's chimney will dominate the area and supply lorries will clog nearby roads.

Plans for the station have been submitted to North Kesteven District Council.
