Seven named in birthday honours

An OBE and six MBEs have been given to people in Lincolnshire in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Mrs Elizabeth Jane Lewington, chief executive of North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus, receives an OBE for services to social care.

Dr Richard Harper-Smith, one of the founders of emergency service LIVES, has been appointed an MBE.

Also named as an MBE was Joel Grunnill, from Skegness, for his support of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Author Molly Burkett, from Grantham, gets an OBE for services to animal welfare.

Also named as MBEs are the former Mayor of Boston Joan Ashton, for her services to local government, Yvonne McVie for her work at the Ministry of Defence, and artist Hai Shuet Yeung for services to Chinese Art and to the community in North East Lincolnshire.
