A man has appeared in court over the death of a three-year-old girl who died after a mini-motorcycle collision.

George Franklin, 22, from Monks Dyke Road in Louth, made no plea at Lincoln Crown Court where he was accused of causing death by dangerous driving.

Abbie Louise Perris was riding on the bike's petrol tank when it was in collision with a truck on 26 May.

She was taken to hospital in Grimsby following the accident, but later died as a result of her injuries.

Mr Franklin, who is Abbie's stepfather, has been remanded in custody until 1 August. No application was made for bail.
