Pair steal cash from post office

Two men armed with a knife have stolen cash and bank cards in a raid on a post office in Lincolnshire.

The men targeted the premises in Broadgate, Whaplode Drove, near Spalding at about 1300 BST.

Police said a member of staff handed over cash after he was threatened with a pocket knife.

A member of the public also had his cash and bank cards stolen and was knocked to the ground by one of the raiders.

The offenders are described as white, aged in their 20s or early 30s, wearing black ski masks and dark coloured clothing. One of them had stubble, dark coloured hair and tanned skin.

Police believe they drove a white Nissan Micra, which was later found burnt out near to the A1073 at Crowland.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lincolnshire police.
