New signs go up around hospitals

New signs are to be put up in and around hospitals in Lincolnshire at a cost of £130,000.

Grantham and District Hospital, the Boston Pilgrim Hospital and Louth County Hospital will all get new signs.

Martin Appleby, from United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said some of the old signs had become worn and were difficult to understand.

New external signs will also go up at four of the trust's hospitals later in April.

Mr Appleby said: "These new signs are completely up-to-date. They are clear to read and are being put up both inside and outside the hospitals to show people the best way of navigating their way around the sites.

"The fact that all of our hospitals now have matching signage helps to provide some consistency of message across the trust."

He added the signs had been paid for from capital funds.
