'Yob behaviour' prompts patrols
Police in a Lincolnshire town are increasing patrols to tackle a spate of anti-social behaviour.

Officers in Holton Le Clay said an increase in "yob behaviour" in the Picksley Crescent, Peppercorn Walk and Garth Way areas had prompted the move.

People seen causing trouble will be moved on and banned from an area for 48 hours by police.

Pc Pete MacLeod said where there was sufficient evidence, arrests would be made "without delay".

"The anti-social and inconsiderate behaviour generally increases at the weekends, due to more people being out in the community and more alcohol being consumed," said Pc MacLeod.

"The core group believed to be responsible is very much in the minority."

High-visibility patrols will be on duty and, at key times, a mobile CCTV vehicle will be used.
