County leader honoured by Queen
The leader of Lincolnshire County Council was among those from the county recognised in the Queen's annual New Year Honours List.

Councillor Martin Hill was appointed OBE for services to local government.

The county's Lord Lieutenant, Bridget Craycroft-Eley, became a Companion to the Royal Victorian Order.

Sergeant Gary Brown from Lincolnshire Police was appointed MBE for his work with young people in the county. He said he was surprised and honoured.

Roger Begy, the chairman of the Learning and Skills Council in Lincolnshire and Rutland, became an OBE for services to further education and training.

Mary Elizabeth Tanner of Stamford was appointed OBE for her work with the World Council of Churches.
