Parade revamp to create 300 jobs
Skegness arcade fire
A 200-metre stretch of Grand Parade was closed during the fire
Three hundred jobs are to be created in a Linconshire town with the redevelopment of a site which was badly damaged by fire.

The Bola brothers, owners of the Grand Parade, Skegness, confirmed they are to spend up to £15m constructing a new complex at the resort.

The brothers said the new development would be "ambitious" and "stunning" and would not be an amusement arcade.

More than 100 firefighters tackled the fire in August.

It destroyed bars, an amusement arcade and several stalls.

Raj Bola described it as "a top-class venue with top-class restaurants".

Plans are expected to be submitted to East Lindsey District Council in the new year.
