Revamp for county nature reserve

A Lincolnshire nature reserve is getting a facelift.

Around 2,000 fish in the pond at Lollycocks Field in Sleaford have been removed while the site is cleared.

The council admitted the area looked messy but said in the long term it would become a healthier haven for wildlife after silt is removed.

In the meantime, locals are being warned to keep away while work takes place. The reserve is expected to be back to normal next spring.
