Protest march to save post office
Campaigners fighting to save a Lincolnshire post office have staged a protest march along the A15.

The group walked the three miles in protest at the planned closure of the Rippingale branch.

Jim Latham said the walk to the alternative branch in Morton was to show how hard it would be for the disabled and elderly to get to.

The Post Office said the network was losing money and was not sustainable in its current form.

'Potentially dangerous'

Mr Latham, from the Friends of Rippingale Post Office said the group will not sit back and let the closure happen.

He said: "If you know the A15, it's a potentially dangerous road, no paths, full of traffic all day and it's just daft.

"We thought the best way to protest is to actually do it [the walk] to demonstrate what people here will have to do to."

Rippingale has already lost its local school this year.
