Support to preserve post office
Campaigners fighting to keep a Lincolnshire post office open are receiving political support.

The Friends of Rippingale Post Office were visited by their Labour MP Quentin Davies on Saturday.

Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate for Grantham and Stamford, Nick Boles also visited.

Rippingale has already lost its local school this year. Now the branch is one of a number in Lincolnshire earmarked for closure.

Mr Boles has described the decision to close the Rippingale branch as "an act of vandalism".

The Post Office said the network was losing money and was not sustainable in its current form.
