Man injured during street fight

A 19-year-old has been seriously injured during a fight involving 20 people in a Lincolnshire town.

Officers were called to the brawl which broke out at Eastgate, Louth, at about 0320 BST on Sunday.

The injured man was taken to Grimsby Hospital and later transferred to Hull Royal Infirmary. A police spokesperson said he remained unconscious on Sunday.

Part of Eastgate was closed to traffic on Sunday. Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
