The Conservative party has held on to control of South Holland District Council in Lincolnshire.

The Conservatives kept all 26 of their previously held seats after the elections on Thursday.

There was also no change for the Independents who held on to their 11 seats on the district council.

The British National Party lost their one seat. Boundary changes this year meant 37 seats were up for election instead of the previous 38.

A spokeswoman from South Holland District Council said average turnout was estimated at about 33.5%.
