The Conservatives have gained 13 seats on East Lindsey Council in Leicestershire - but they are still short of an overall majority.

Although they are now the biggest party, with 28 seats, there are 21 independent councillors.

The Lib Dems and the Labour party lost three seats each but seven independents were also forced off the council.

The new council is Conservatives 28, independents 21, Labour eight and Liberal Democrats, three.
