The Conservatives have retained control of South Kesteven District Council in Thursday's local elections.

The party gained one seat on the Lincolnshire council, bringing their total number of councillors to 35.

Independent candidates have 15 seats - a gain of three. Labour lost five seats and now have two councillors on the district authority.

The Liberal Democrats gained one post, bringing their total to six. The whole of the authority was up for election.
