Police have released more details about the life of a man who died in a suspicious fire in Lincolnshire in a bid for more information.
Alexander James Ash, 74, died from the effects of breathing in smoke after the fire at his home in Boston on 12 March.
Police, who have started a murder probe, said Mr Ash had lived in Boston for 20 years but used to be a cabaret performer in the North in the 1960s.
Officers said Mr Ash seemed to have been a "lonely" man in his later years.
'Theatrical character'
"We are keen to hear from anyone who came into contact with Mr Ash, even if it was only briefly when out shopping at Asda or down the gym working out," said Det Supt Roger Bannister.
"Mr Ash was quite a theatrical and flamboyant individual who we understand performed as part of a cabaret act during the 60s at venues across the north of the country and possibly London.
"In order to map out Mr Ash's life, we are appealing to his work partner who is believed to be called Ron Martin, living in the West Yorkshire area, to contact the inquiry team."
House-to-house inquiries are continuing and leaflets appealing for information have been given out.
"Whatever the information is, or however trivial you think it might be, if you knew Mr Ash we would urge you to call in," said Det Supt Bannister.
