Three sex offenders go missing
Police have admitted they are not sure of the whereabouts of three sex offenders who were living in Lincolnshire.

It follows newspaper reports that forces across the UK have lost track of 322 convicted sex offenders.

Lincolnshire's assistant chief constable Peter Davies confirmed three men had moved house or left the area and failed to give their new address.

"We are actively trying to trace the three men," said ACC Davies.

'Successful monitoring'

"One is a foreign national and intelligence indicates he has returned to his country of origin.

"One is a British citizen and intelligence suggests he is living abroad.

"There is no current information regarding the location of the third man."

ACC Davies explained the force is aware of the location of the majority of sex offenders in the county.

"Presently Lincolnshire Police and our partner agencies successfully monitor the locations and behaviour of over 99% of the individuals resident in the county who are compelled to register as sex offenders," he added.
