Protesters say they will continue their campaign against a controversial route for Lincoln's southern bypass which was given final approval on Tuesday.
County council members chose route 2C which goes through Waddington village, connecting the A46 with the A15.
They said it was the most cost-effective and most likely to secure government funding.
Seven homes will have to be bulldozed but the council said the owners would be fully compensated.
Ratification period
"For the people who live on Station Road whose homes will be in jeopardy, I can say to them 'the county council is looking to inconvenience you as little as it possibly can'," said the executive councillor of highways, William Webb.
"And from the time this decision is made, in a five-day ratification period, they will be able to claim a compulsory blight against the county council if they so wish. "
The protest group Wasbo (Waddington Against Southern Bypass Option) was formed by villagers to fight the move.
Chairman Peter Brier said: "What the compensation is not doing - which is the unfortunate thing - it's not actually compensating people who will be right on the fringe of this thing.
"We've even got a plan here that shows that the road will actually cut through people's gardens, believe it or not, and those people who are literally right on the edge of this will, as far as we're aware, not be compensated."
