More sick dogs renew poison fears
Investigations are under way into another spate of dog poisonings in North East Lincolnshire.

At least two animals have fallen ill in Humberston - just weeks after other dogs died in Cleethorpes.

North East Lincolnshire Council has called in a team from Defra to help them get to the bottom of the issue.

Four pet dogs died after visiting Cleethorpes Country Park earlier in August and two were found to have rat poison in their system after tests.

Now more dogs have been taken ill in the Humberstone area.

The authority says it does not use the type of rat poison believed to be responsible for the Cleethorpes deaths and has called in government vets to investigate.
