Air pollution levels are tested
The quality of air in Lincoln is being monitored by a special testing station.

The new monitor has just been installed on Canwick Road and will give hourly updates on pollution levels.

Officials hope the regular readings will help them develop an action plan on improving the air quality by reducing pollution.

Lincoln City Council said it is likely to fail to meet national nitrogen dioxide guidelines because of traffic fumes in the city centre.
