Boston United manager Steve Evans and four other people connected with the football club have appeared at a London court charged with fraud.
Club general manager John Blackwell, director Brian James, former chairman Pat Malkinson and ex-club accountant Ian Lee were at Southwark Crown Court.
They are each charged with conspiracy to cheat the public revenue and all entered pleas of not guilty.
The trial date has been set for 18 September.
