Boy assaulted after 'gun' threat
An 11-year-old boy in Lincolnshire has been seriously sexually assaulted after a man threatened him with what is believed to be a handgun.

The boy was walking along Blue Gowt Lane in Spalding with a nine-year-old boy on Friday when they were approached by the man who was on a motorcycle.

He pulled out what is thought to be a gun and grabbed the 11-year-old.

The other nine-year-old managed to run away. Police said the boy has been left badly traumatised.

Hospital treatment

After carrying out the attack the man released his victim and fled on his bike in the direction of Two Plank Lane.

The attacker is described as white, aged in his late teens to late 20s, with short dark hair.

Detective Sgt Alan Mason, from Spalding CID, said: "He is obviously in an extreme state of shock and is being looked after by specially-trained officers.

"He was treated at Boston Pilgrim Hospital last night and we have been dealing with him as best we can."
