Bid to make 'night-out' more safe
A scheme is under way to cut crime on the Lincolnshire coast late at night.

Several groups have joined together for the scheme which will run for the next 12 months in Skegness and other communities along the coast.

East Lindsey District Council, Lincolnshire police and the Drugs and Alcohol Action Team will be working with licensees and retailers.

The aim is to reduce crime and the fear of crime for residents and visitors, especially at night time.

The initiative includes crackdowns on drug and alcohol related crime and shoplifting.

A "safe zone" will also be set up in Skegness for people on a night out to get help and advice.
