Book festival plans new chapter
An celebration of the written word in Lincolnshire is looking to expand after securing a major grant.

The Lincoln Book Festival has been awarded 60,000 over the next three years by the Arts Council.

Organisers said the funding will be used to develop the audience with events targeted at youth groups, sport and cultural diversity.

They also hope to launch a new logo and website in time for the festival which takes place in May

Sara Bullimore, from the city council, said: "This funding is fantastic news for the Book Festival and will allow us to explore new and creative ways of making the event even more successful in the coming years.

"We are delighted that through this grant, the Arts Council has recognised the value of this project in Lincoln and we look forward to putting the money to good use."
