Town aims to revive market trade
Town leaders are looking for public input to help revive a struggling market in Lincolnshire.

North Kesteven District Council has set up a working group to look at ways of helping the Sleaford market.

An experiment to relocate the markets to a site nearer the town's main shopping street on Fridays and Saturdays has been abandoned.

The council wants more traders to take part and has suggested the market days be cut from three to two a week.

Councillor Graham Smith, chairman of the working group, said specialist markets are doing well and he wants to see that concept extended to the ordinary market.
