Council to splash cash on sport
Millions of pounds look set to be spent on leisure facilities in East Lindsey.

Councillors are due to approve a £12m scheme including a new six-lane swimming pool, badminton courts, a gym and sports hall.

And the package, set to be the biggest one-off project for the council, would also lead to an upgrade at the existing sports association on London Road.

If councillors back the scheme then residents will be asked for views, with building starting in June 2006.

The project goes before East Lindsey District Council on Tuesday.
