200,000 grant will save landmark
Bass Maltings
The survey should kick start the redevelopment of the Maltings
A 200,000 grant will be put towards the regeneration of Sleaford's Grade ll-listed Bass Maltings.

Lincolnshire Enterprise hopes the money will speed up the process of bringing the ailing complex back to life.

The money will pay for a "framework" which includes the technical surveys needed for the redevelopment of any site with so much industrial heritage.

The semi-derelict buildings were built nearly 100 years ago and parts were damaged by fire in the mid 1970s.

The agencies involved in the project should then be able to give private developers a clear picture of what will be expected of them.

The redevelopment is likely to create a business environment with residential apartments.
